another underrated Lamy ink

I have returned recently to Lamy ink after trying many other brands. Their ink and this green is as womderful as I remember and can hold its own with any other brand.

Great green!

Of all the greens I've tried, this one suits me best -- not too dark, not too light, not too yellow, not too blue. And for the price, in the grooviest bottle ever with a well for the nib to submerge as supply gets low, and integral blotter paper on a reel in the base, I'm a big fan and will be considering the blue next.

Bright!

Very nice bright green! Nice flow and well behaved. I would highly recommend it.

Strong Color

It is good for daily tasks and for mixing it with other inks or paints. I use the pen to draw and then later use water colors to fill. This color is great for a natural green. Work very well with other colors.

A very good ink

This ink got a raw and harsh review on FPN, but not deservedly so as it has many fine qualities. It is not washed out by any means. I have found this ink to be slightly saturated, lubricating and will shade even with a fine nib. A wetter nib is kinder to this ink leaving a nice dark, muted green line. In drier nibs it shows some of its blue roots but does not distract from the overall green.Extremely pleasing and easy to write with. The flow wil keep up with fast writing and thin enough with a fine nib to be very precise if used for mathematics.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
