Beautiful Dark Purple

I have trouble getting the green sheen to show up but it does every once in a while. I also write with EF nibs so that definitely could be a contributing factor. I will be getting a full bottle of it anyway because the base purple color is gorgeous on it's own.

Better than I was expecting.

Wasn't expecting to like this ink too much, but I DO like it! It is a little lighter than the Lamy Blackberry, which is a favorite. Recommended.

Very vibrant purple. I like this with my finer nibs. Definitely a purple I won’t grow tired of using.

Lamy Dark Lilac - not too shabby

I bought this sample of Lamy Dark Lilac just to try it out after all the interest about its release, even though purple is my least preferred colour! Colour preference aside, it's clearly an interesting ink and I enjoy using it in my Travelers brass pen which is like my spare pen I carry on my key chain. Snudgey though.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
