This is an amazing green color and a really well behaved ink. Would definitely recommend if you like lighter green shades.

that grass color you've been looking for

This such a vibrant green! Dries with a bit of this delightful yellow tone, like seagrass before it turns brown. It is hard to read if the paper you are writing on has yellow undertones. Shows very nicely on white though.

Very cheerful! Great for accents

I'm really enjoying this ink, while it's a bit bright for a full letter or taking notes, a friend loves greens and it made a perfect thank you card for her! Its a very fun color for some added flourishes and details in calligraphy, if you're looking for a really bright green that writes very smoothly with a dip pen for a great price, I'm not sure this one can be beat. I've gotten a lot of light green sample colors and while the others are really beautiful as well, this one fits a very specific niche that I enjoy.

Happy Spring Green

Great ink as are all of J. Herbin Inks. I am using it in a Lamy with a M nib which shows off it's attributes and is very easy to read. It is quite bright and not subtle at all, but it is fun. This ink was sold out when I went to buy it, I asked to be e-mailed when it was available again. Goulet pens e-mailed me a week or so later when it came in, a great service - thank you. I do love it but wow is it bright in a bigger nib on white paper. It settles down some on off white or more absorbent paper. Greens are tricky, so order a sample if you are unsure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
