One of my new favorites

Using it in my Lamy 2000 with a wet medium nib is so wonderful. Really brings out the shading. It's a light color, muted blue that leans grey. Could see it being a little too light in some finer, and dryer nibs. None the less, I love it.

I LOVE this color

I first purchased a sample of FWP's Storied Blue and have been using it in a Kaweco collection Mellow Blue pen with a Medium nib, and wow, does it flow beautifully! It is wet and smooth--dreamy. It is such a pleasure to view afterwards, with delightful shading. I loved it so much, I purchased the 38 mL bottle from Goulet Pen Co. (...and one day I may end up purchasing the 85 mL FWP offers on their website). *I used the sample for grading, creating answer keys, writing thank-you's, journaling entries, penmanship practice, and more. I definitely recommend this ink if you like softer inks!P.S. - From most of the pictures on the website, I had been expecting a more gray-ish blue, but from my experience, it seems to lean more towards "teal" (see Goulet's third picture showing the ink, the swatch on the right is closest to what I've experienced). Initially it was a disappointment, as I was hoping for something darker. But, it wasn't a deal-breaker for me, and I kept writing with it despite the fact--and fell in love with it! Great experience with shipping and packaging! Thank you :)

A little too soft for most writing

FWP inks are usually style over substance - a lot of the appeal is the inspiration and box art for each ink. Which is totally valid. Storied Blue is a very soft denim blue that's on the drier side. Best served by a broader nib so that it flows well and is legible. I have it in a pen with a 1.1 stub and I ended up putting a teeny bit of Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher in there to slightly darken the ink and make it more legible. As with many of FWP inks, this is probably more enjoyable when used for doodling or other art rather than writing.

Beautiful Soft Color

I love this color. It is a beautiful, soft, slightly gray, blue ink color, and exactly what I was looking for. I prefer to use these soft, less saturated ink colors in my journal. Thank You Goulet Pen Co!

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
