Quite dry and prone to clogging

This may be one of the driest inks i have used so far. I put it in my medium nib TWSBI eco and it would clog every few words as a result of the sheer amount of shimmer and the dryness. I love the color and the shimmer, but if you want to use it in your pen consider adding a very tiny drop of surfactant (like dish soap) to the ink to help with the flow. I did this and immediately all of the clogging issues went away! The color is a pale blue, almost like the color of rain. There is a lot of shading going on here, and the shimmer gives you something extra to look at! Overall quite lovely.

The box looks beautiful and the bottle looks so cute in my hands. However, because of the way the box was made to protect the bottle, it can be hard to get it out of you don’t want the box to tear. Regardless, this ink is a periwinkle cookie with rose gold shimmer. Somehow, it reminds me of blueberries when you don’t shake the bottle. It looks darker when you do shake it. When you do, you really see the shimmer, it’s lovely. I’ll use this ink on special occasions.

Not especially saturated

Blue Beryl Tonic is a beautiful color, but it's just too light. I had high hopes because of the shading and rose gold shimmer, but the color was hard to see on Tomoe River paper. The packaging is stunning, though.

Love it! This ink is beautiful on white or ivory paper. My 20 year old medium nib Mont Blanc loves this ink too.Your company offers great products, fast service, excellent packing. You're the next best thing to having physical access to a great fountain pen store!

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.

Is shimmering ink safe to use in fountain pens? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Yes! Shimmering ink (a fountain pen ink that has small particles of glitter mixed in) is a great way to add some flare to your writing. We have found that a larger nib will showcase more shimmering particles while writing, but you can use any nib size with shimmering ink. While it is safe to use in fountain pens, it may require a little extra maintenance.

Due to the amount of particulate in this ink used to achieve the sparking look, you may experience restricted ink flow in some of your pens, especially with finer nibs.

We recommend shaking the ink thoroughly before filling, and gently rolling the pen in your hands often to keep the shimmer effect consistent. This will also help prevent clogging.

You will also want to be diligent about regularly cleaning and maintaining your pen when using this ink.
