Pretty but transfers like crazy

I only bought a sample, and I'm throwing it away after testing for about a month. I absolutely love the color, I think it's so vibrant. Unfortunately, I just cannot use it anymore due to it staining everything. I'm left handed, so I understand almost all ink will leave stains on my palm after a writing session, but this one just smudges like crazy. I wrote in my journal 2 weeks ago with this ink, and today I was writing with different pen and ink on the same page, and my palm smudged the text from 2 weeks ago of Diamine Wild Strawberry, made the journal page unattractive, and my palm was left stained. And don't even think about accidentally dropping a water drop on the text - you will have an instant river of blood on your page. I give up. The photos were taken a minute ago, as I'm writing this review. That red text is from weeks ago, I just touched it with my middle finger, and you can see the result.

I like it. It is a very bright red. It comes off as orange or pink on some of the cheaper paper which I found to be fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
