I have a bias - I like blues that are on the warmer side. But let me just tell you, this is what I wish Diamine's 1864 Blue Black was. It's a deep, dark navy pretending to be a wannabe teal and I love it. On the page, you can see that it's not just a boring black but it's not distracting. It could easily work in a professional setting but also could work in a casual encounter. If you think I'm overselling it, why don't you pick up a sample and see for yourself?

I love the flow and feel of this ink. I like the color but it is not as twilighty as it appears in the online swatch. In fact it really reads as a muted green more than blue.

The name twilight is very accurate for this ink- it's full of shadows and seems to have a different character in different lights. It is mostly a blue-grey with a slight hint of green, writes well, and doesn't appear to feather too badly on cheap paper.

I really love this color and its shading. Its exactly the deep, evening blue I was looking for; but, it feathers with my flex pens, even on clairefontaine. So, I'm on the fence whether I should get a full bottle or not. It behaves nicely with smaller nibs.
