A good orange ink

A nice standard orange ink. Had good flow and was nice and bright on the page.

Beautiful, rich orange.

Awesome shading, especially when used on L1917 paper. I'm very picky about which brightly colored inks I use, but will definitely be getting this one again.

Good Middle of the Road Orange

I'd say this ink rings in somewhere between the saturation of Caran d'ache Saffron (or Noodler's Operation Overlord Orange) and Caran d'Ache Infra Red (or Noodler's Dragon's ******). I like it. It pops on the page, but to me personally, I'd choose Iroshizuku Fuyu Gaki over this ink because it seems more..well, vibrant if that's what you're looking for in an orange ink. Overall, you won't be disappointed if you are looking for a good saturated orange, with less red than some.

Nice color.

Orange with a hint of coral. Very saturated, no shading in the Pelikan M400 Fine I've used it in. It is a very dry ink.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
