Brilliant blue!

Great blue for every day is you like a deep blue that is clearly blue. Using it in Viscinti starry night with a medium nib.

Great blue!

I was looking for a bright blue that tended more to purple than green. This is the one! I love this color - it goes on definitely purple, but dries to a bright blue. This is my current favorite (well, along with Ancient Copper).

Beautiful Blue Ink

I came across your videos via youtube and was introduced you the world of fountain pens again. this ink is beautiful. it is quite vibrant. dries pretty quickly as well. I am a beginner and I have used this on normal paper only.

Very attractive color, very good properties

As mentioned by the other reviewers this is definitely a color-shifting in. It goes down surprisingly purple for a blue ink. However, over time, it turns its named Sapphire blue color. It has become one of my favorite colors. Nicely behaved. A tiny bit of bleed-thru and feathering on cheap paper. Only a little shading. But, unlike some of the Diamine inks, it dries fast, which is important for Lefties.

Superb ink

I own a lot of ink. It occupies a shelf in a built-in bookcase in my office. I have tried many brands, but my favorite is Diamine. The reason for this is simple: the blues. I can think of no other ink maker that features as many quality blue shades as Diamine does. I don't own all of them, but I own so many I feel I have the blue spectrum pretty much covered. My favorite is Majestic Blue, which is a vibrant deep blue. Perhaps the most unusual blue is China Blue, which corresponds well with what any sports fan might call Carolina blue. Sapphire Blue is a long-time favorite of many and writes with a purplish hue before drying to a true blue.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
