This has been a fun ink. Definite shimmer and works great in the flex nib pen I'm using it in now. If I shake the pen before I write, it flows darker for a few moments. Kinda neat. Would buy again.

The ink has a great deep red color but not maroon deep. The only flaw I didn't like concerning the ink is the glitter tends to move after it has dried.

First let me say that Goulet Pen Company is top notch- shipments out and arrived sooner than anticipated, packed carefully so everything arrives in perfect condition. Now the ink. OMG I love this ink and can not recommend it highly enough if you like a bit of shimmer and a lot of sparkle . This has quickly become one of my favorite inks- smooth, nice shading, beautiful sheening, and stands up well on the paper!!! Love it!!!

Very good ink for use in my holiday mailings. With regular agitations, the gold lustre was very nice, even using a fine nib. I'd love to see how it performs with a broad or larger nib.

I now own many shimmer inks in several brands and have used them for several years, and I have to say the Diamine Shimmertastics in general and Red Lustre and Magical Forest specifically are my two favorite shimmer inks and the ones I use the most, especially during the Christmas season. These inks have a lot of shiny shimmer but so far have never once clogged any of pens, unlike some other brands. While the swab of Red Lustre looks a little orangey on my screen, the bottle I have is a pretty true red. I usually use it in my TWSBI 1.1 mm stub pens to show it off but it has worked well in other pens, too. I do gently roll the pen from time to time to keep the sparkles mixed as they will settle after awhile. I highly recommend this ink if you want some noticeable shimmer in a well behaved ink.
