Part of Diamine’s Shimmertastic collection, this Pink Glitz fountain pen ink features added gold shimmer. Works best with broader nibs on high quality paper to really see the shine. Comes in a 50ml glass bottle.

Due to the amount of particulate in this ink used to achieve the sparking look, you may experience restricted ink flow in some of your pens. We recommend shaking the ink thoroughly before filling and gently rolling the pen in your hands often to keep the shimmer effect consistent. This will also help prevent clogging. You will also want to be diligent about cleaning and maintaining your pen when using this ink.

Delectable Eye Candy

Paired with my Benu Euphoria Confetti Milkshake, writing with this ink was like writing with the oozey center of a gloriously appetizing, ruby red grapefruit hard candy. The picture doesn't do proper justice. It's absolutely glorious, in person.

Love the Little Sparkle!

I use this ink in my pink Pineider Avatar UR pen (fine nib), and the color is perfect! The sparkle that it leaves on the page makes my heart just a little happier every time I use it.

Gave the sample a try, and now I'll be buying.

I decidedly have two kinds of preferences when it comes to fountain pen inks; for basic inks, they need to have the usability of disposable pens, but when it comes to special inks, the flair can't be high maintenance. Diamante suits that bill. I tried a few brands (the De Atramentis, in particular was gorgeous) but stopped when I got the sampler of Diamante's. I don't think it's less glitzy, but it doesn't clog as much whilst in use. I had the De Atramentis in a demonstrator, and I could see as well as sense that the glitter would settle whilst I was writing. I am loving Diamante's Pink Glitz most of all. In particular, the pink is not too light/neon/magenta for my taste - another said it was nearly red. I would concur, that it is a warm dark magenta, bordering on red - but you get gorgeous lighter tones at times when the ink shades. I also noticed that the ink doesn't seep as much through certain papers, but when you get glitter, those areas take longer to avoid smearing. My tip is not to store the pen with the nip down - I have had major clogs in the nib because of the glitter!

Gorgeous ink!

I use this in my Kaweco Sport (it's a good match for the 'Pink' color), though I wish I'd picked a pen with and easier-to-clean converter! This ink is so beautiful on Rhodia and Leuchtturm paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.

Is shimmering ink safe to use in fountain pens? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Yes! Shimmering ink (a fountain pen ink that has small particles of glitter mixed in) is a great way to add some flare to your writing. We have found that a larger nib will showcase more shimmering particles while writing, but you can use any nib size with shimmering ink. While it is safe to use in fountain pens, it may require a little extra maintenance.

Due to the amount of particulate in this ink used to achieve the sparking look, you may experience restricted ink flow in some of your pens, especially with finer nibs.

We recommend shaking the ink thoroughly before filling, and gently rolling the pen in your hands often to keep the shimmer effect consistent. This will also help prevent clogging.

You will also want to be diligent about regularly cleaning and maintaining your pen when using this ink.
