Not sure!

I'm torn, I love the brown, pink muted color, but find it difficult to read depending on pen!

Not pink but pinkish

I love the color! It's a bit unusual and has warm brown undertones. It looks better on paper than you think it will and I found that it grew on me over time.

Wonderful color

Ink flows smoothly and looks great against white or ivory notepads. Not as nice on yellow notepads.

A great color, without a great feel.

To start, the value of these ink samples is incredible! I got more than a full converter refill in the little sample. I wanted to try and match an ink to my powder rose LAMY safari pen, so I went with this one. When I first tried the ink, I noticed that it seemed a lot lighter than the image described, unless I went over multiple times. I'm used to using J.Herbin and Diamine inks, which are thick and sit nicely on top of paper. When I used this ink on Rhodia paper, it was a little too light to be visible, and the texture was very watery and dry. It would soak into the paper and shade very dramatically, which wasn't my favorite writing feel (I prefer more glossy and sticky inks) This would be a good ink for art applications, but is a little too watery and light colored for writing in my opinion.Overall, it's a lovely color that just has too much of a watery and dry feel for my preference. The value of the ink samples is superb, you get a lot of ink for the price and more than enough to make a decision on getting a whole bottle.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
