Makes an EF nib sing!

First of all, these notebooks are TINY. To put it in perspective, about the width of a normal iPhone, but 2/3 the height.

The paper itself, though, is great. It's ink resistant, in that I've noted even my drier inks take a bit longer than I'm used to to dry up. It does seem to roll out more, however, so that I find medium and broad laying a fatter line than I notice on, say, Rhodia. This, obviously, is the main downside: a tiny notebook that makes fat writing. This is, however, entirely solved by the fact that the paper is SMOOTH. This stuff makes F and EF nibs feel smoother than most other papers I've tried. My normally very mediocre Kaweco Sport EF has now become my favorite on it, and it brings out any shading that could be had. This tiny duo is about the smallest, lightest combo for an everyday carry I can think of.

All in all, for two bucks, this thing is a terrific pocket notebook. You never notice it, it's always there, it writes great, and it's TWO DOLLARS (and twenty cents). What more could you ask for?! Apica is just quietly doing fantastic things and everyone needs to see them more.

Nice refill

The refill is smaller than the original but works just fine.

Love them, compact notes! Sending another one to my college age granddaughter!

They are good but a bit small

They handle writing just fine and fit inside the pen case but they don't take much to fill up a page. Good product just a bit small

It's a Nice,

Small notebook. I'm using it to test out inks for the first time.
