Really nice ink

Goes on so light that it feels too light, but quickly darkens to a very nice and legible color. Highly recommend.

Fun ink and lovely colour

I had heard about the Platinum-Black inks and I love a yellowy-green so was keen to try this. I didn't expect the colour change to happen so quickly and entertainingly before my eyes.

Surprised!

It's a cool color. The yellow is more yellow and less green. And the black turns out to be almost a dark grey. But it's a good ink to have in your collection.

Strange Delight

A beautiful pale yellow that dries to a dark brownish black in some places. It would be an ugly color if it wasn't so beautiful, and I hate that I love it so.

Colour changing ink

I really love this ink. I find it fascinating how it goes down a yellow, changes to yellow/green, then a darker yellow green, then gray, and finally a black with slight yellow in it. It runs a bit dry but I've only tried it in one pen so far. It might be different in another pen. Regardless, I still want a bottle of this ink!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
