It is a nice color and wrote well but you have to be careful not to get it on your fingers as it doesn't wash off like regular fountain pen inks.

I didn't purchase this to write with, but to use as a highlighting-type ink. In my work, I am always taking a lot of notes, and I use Platinum Carbon Black ink, which has incredibly waterproof. But some of my original tried and true highlighter markers would smear the ink, even if left for a few days before highlighting. Enter this ink! With a very small makeup brush, I apply just enough ink over the areas that need it, and the Platinum Carbon Black hasn't smeared or bled once! I'm excited to use this ink and a few others to highlight my notes!

I always give my pen a thorough cleaning after using any kind of document ink. This particular YELLOW document ink is bright and beautiful.
