Could this be my ideal ink?

Love these Sailor inks to play with. Beautiful shade, maybe a bit light if your sight is less than perfect.

Great for art

When writing with a medium nib, I find this to be a fairly boring (but pretty) lavender shade, with a slight edge of green if I manage to pool a lot of ink. When spreading it on watercolor paper, it really shines, breaking apart into blue, purple, pink, and a nice mint green. Overall, I really like it, but I'd probably put it in a stub or a broad if I wanted to actually write with it.

Usually don't get excited about two toned inks, but I like this one. I've put it into a medium nib Preppy hoping to see more of it. It pretty much looks like gray. I also color with my inks and this one tends to not go on evenly but gets blotchy. Still, I like it.

Lovely!

Sich a beautiful ink. Just the right viscosity. This would be great for artists, as the green under sheening is breath takingly beautiful. It's hard to see in normal writing in regular paper though.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
