Correction

I mistakenly wrote about this ink as if it were the J. Herbin Violet Imperial. Everything I said about this ink earlier refers to the Herbin ink. Sorry for the confusion. This one is definitely darker, and duller, with more blue in it, than both the Pilot Murasaki-Shikibu and the J. Herbin Violet Imperial, both of which I love. I won't be getting a larger bottle of this one.

A real purple ink

I like this ink. I did not have any plain purple inks. This is just a good ole purple wet ink Diamine is always good. Will buy again.

Love It

I tried a sample of the Majestic Purple and absolutely love it, so much so I just ordered a bottle of it. This is one that I will always keep one of my pens inked with. Diamond Majestic Purple is a great looking ink on all different shades of paper, a great everyday, all purpose and still professional looking ink.

I love the entire Diamine line!

This purple is a very rich color and looks like velvet on the page. I wish they had done their Shimmertastic in this hue!

Diamine Majestic Purple (sample 2ml)

Had to try a purple to see what it would look like in person - looks great for a purple, a tad on the dark side for me, but a great purple nevertheless. Nice sample vials; good packaging; great service.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
