A close match to Colorverse Brunch Date

As part of my baker's dozen pink ink samples, this one edged out Brunch Date in the brown leaning category. It was softer and more elegant and there was something about the shading which was better. It leans more toward rose than Brunch Date, is not as saturated, and has a softer, yet complex shading. This is the one if you want more pink than brown versus more brown than pink. It wins the get-a-bottle prize.

I don't get it...fleshy peach?

Perhaps if my paper were a true white? On my Leuchtturm and several other notebooks with an off-white paper color, its just a dull fleshy pink-peach. Not at all appealing. A regretful purchase.

A nice, mature coral

I was in search of a good coral. This one appears a bit dusty, patinaed, etc., which are actually lovely qualities about it. Not so in your face.

A lovely sample!

Found this ink from a Goulet Pens video that asked about Rose Gold inks, and this color was on it. I definitely agree, it's beautiful! I ordered a sample to see if my partner would like it, and she did! Ended up ordering her the whole bottle of ink! Thank you for providing samples, they're really helpful! :)

Wow, what a weak ink

I have 50+ ink samples and about 10 bottles of ink. I tend to like wetter inks, but also inks that shade, shimmer, and sheen. (Who doesn't.) I have 20+ pens of different nib sizes and my ink preferences are saturated, and I like all colors, as long as it's visible. This ink is just weak and sad. It's the only ink sample I just threw away after trying. I love Herbin and Jacques Herbin inks, but definitely not this one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
