This shade of green is kind of perfect. For me, it walks the right line between not being too bright and not being so dark you can't even tell it's green. As a bonus, it looks great on essentially every type of paper you may throw at it. I'm not even sure why you haven't bought yourself a sample yet. Go ahead and grab one!

When I first swatched Sherwood Green immediately after I received it, it seemed like it was a bit darker than Green Marine. Now I don't think so. It's probably the difference in pens. I used a Pilot dip pen at first, and now I've loaded it into a Pilot Fermo . In the Fermo it's showing up about the same as my perception of Green Marine, but slightly less bold. Green Marine, which was loaded in my vintage VP , runs wetter than this one - but Green Marine takes a while to dry and is having nib creep where this one isn't showing signs of that so far. I have to admit that the Fermo seems to have a terribly fine nib for a mere Fine. The VP is also Fine but it seems to be a tiny bit bigger - or possibly just puts out more ink. The Fermo would pass for Extra Fine compared to the old VP, so the difference in ink color might just be attributed to this fact. Either way, they're close in tone.

A very nice green, though it leans into the darker hues. By contrast, DeAtramentis Document Moss Green is much more true green, and Noodler's Green Marine is slightly lighter and has a tiny bit more blue in it. With a fine point dip pen, it showed off its lighter shades nicely.

This is the exact shade of green that I was looking for. It's a beautiful emerald forest hue.
