It has a smooth flow, and the depth of the colour is great. I really enjoy using this ink for work.

Like a lot of people my first experience with a fountain pen was a trusty, basic Sheaffer cartridge pen that came with a blue Sheaffer cartridge. It was a nice enough color, but after a while I wanted something different so for many many years my go to ink color was blue black. Recently my love of fountain pens was re-kindled, and I started playing around with different colors. I never thought I would actually buy blue ink again, but the Monteverde Horizon Blue looked so beautiful on Goulet I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! It is a "real" blue that looks right at home on an important signature but has a certain extra brilliance that is beautiful to see. I am back in love with a "basic" blue again!

It was much better than any cartridge ink

I loved the color of Monteverde Horizon Blue. I heard it is very close to the legendary penman sapphire and hence bought it. The pen bleeds a lot even on Rhodia and Clairefontaine paper despite using EF nib. The color is beautiful and if you dont mind the bleed, go for it. Hence three stars.

This ink one of my favorites. It's a nice dark blue, that isn't too dark. It's a very smooth writing ink that is consistent. It does take some time to dry though.
