One of my favorite blue inks

I absolutely love this color! It writes a purplish blue and dries closer to a royal blue. When I write next to already dry ink, I love seeing the combination of the two hues. The blue feels like a true blue to me, not greenish or purplish, and saturated. I love it because it can be used in a serious setting -- it kind of looks like the blue of a ballpoint pen, but it's more saturated and gives it an extra oomph. I bought this as an ink sample from Goulet and now plan to buy a bottle.

Smooth ink

The ink is a nice blue somewhat purple ink, writes very smooth, fairly long dry which doesn't bother me, shades nice on certain paper. I write with a noodlers Konrad Flex which is my favorite pen. I usually write with the noodlers Air Corp blue black which is my favorite standby and also the J herbin vert reseda and J Herbin emerald of chivor as I do tend to love the more flashy inks. But for everyday use in business this is a good fun but neutral color.

Great experience!

This ink turns from violet, as it dries it keeps the rich color but turns a brilliant, beautiful cobalt blue, very fluid and stable, well balanced shading if you use a bold nib, I will definitely save to buy a large bottle! ..for much the best ink I've tried.

Very Pretty Shade of Blue

I don't feel technically knowledgeable of ink qualities to post a critical review of the ink's properties. I just know what I like about how it looks and use. I received a sample of this ink and really did not think I would like it as it was not dark enough. However, after using it dipped and doing some writing samples, I decided it was a very unique and very bright and lively shade of blue. It is just so different than anything I have ever used. However, when I look at the writings with the ink, they are different, but at the same time so very unique and pretty. I have since ordered a bottle of it and dedicated a pen to this ink. It now has a use in my regular rotation for purposes of personal writing and notes to staff as opposed to executing legal documents or notes front conferences with clients. Haven't had it long so other uses of it may be developed in the future as I like it so much.

Good blue

Good medium blue. Slightly purple tint. I used it in a Lamy Safari, F, and it behaves well.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
