Easy flowing, wet, classic black with a touch of shading, it's the best behaved ink I have, in any pen, vintage or modern. I love the 100ml option- thanks Goulet crew!!!

Dead black

Have used this in dip pens for some time. Really liked its dense black color and the ways it writes. Decided, for now:), to make it my go-to black for cylinder fill pens.

Best All Round Black

This is an excellent Black Ink. Probably the best all round black ink there is. However it is not Bulletproof. Do you really need bulletproof? It's pretty gentle and easy to clean, safe for vintage pens. It works pretty well on cheap paper like a school refill, 20 lb uncoated copier paper or a Moleskine so long as you use a Japanese fine or medium nib. Not quite as good as Noodler's black there and there is more showthrough but that should be expected because it's also blacker than Noodler's black. Works really well on high quality paper though it doesn't have quite as much of the smoothness you get with a highly lubricated black like Aurora black. It's easier on your pen than either of those. It's a very black black. A 100 ml bottle of Perle Noir from Goulet Pens is an absolute fantastic deal

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
