Leuchtturm 1917 Navy dot grid

Enjoyed the experience of using this A5 notebook which fits nicely in my leather folio. The writing experience and the numbered pages with the table of contents in the front is a great plus for organizing notes and thoughts. Nice quality in fountain pen use.

Always dependable...

I've got a shelf full of these. They have been my (self-styled) planner each year for many. They are always consistent in quality & dependable. This year I ventured into a dark navy cover from traditional black.

Excellent features for a decent bullet journal

It's quite nice, the dot layout is delightful, and the two bookmark ribbons are great. As always, I love the Leuchtturm details and stickers. The pagination is great and the pre-printed table of contents makes it a dream. Paper quality is pretty good. Very little bleeding except with the wettest pilot parallels, so far. No feathering. My only complaint would be that there's a fair bit of ghosting. It doesn't bother me too much but if you are planning to use heavy inks or anything very artsy for your bulletjournal you might consider heavier paper like a Rhodia. Most users will be pleased.

Maybe a new review is in order?

I have two of these that I purchased from a different company in early 2018. I have used a Sailor ProColor 500 transparent blue with a fine nib and Noodler's Midway Blue, Lamy Safari with a fine nib and Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses, a Conklen Duragraph with a fine nib and Noodler's Gruen Cactus (not the eel, would that make a difference?), a Sailor ProColor 500 StarDust with a fine nib and Noodler's Air Corps Blue Black, a Pilot Metropolitan with a fine point and Noodler's Dark Matter, and a Sailor Young Profit with an extra fine nib and Noodler's Dark Matter in one of these books and other than the ghosting, I have not had any bleed through at all. In the other one I have used a TWSBI Diamond 580 with an extra fine nib and Noodler's Polar Brown exclusively. I have seen some minimal bleed through with that combination, but usually only when I have paused the pen and the ink pools a little. I have also noticed that in the review of the notebook you mentioned that the Medium Hardcover A5 books had perforated pages at the end and the two that I have purchased in 2018 do not have any perforated pages at all. Have they changed the books?? Maybe you could do an updated review of the books as well??

Well loved

I bought this notebook a year ago for my first bullet journaling experience and it has changed my life. I take it everywhere with me and it has become one of the most precious mementos I own. It has withstood adventures and wear/tear and never once made me regret the purchase. I'm repurchasing now for next year!
