notebook of extremes

This is my first Clairefontaine notebook. It's an example of two extremes. The paper is great. It's very smooth, and works well with all my pens and ink -- no feathering or bleed through. The white color shows off the ink colors very nicely. Paper rating alone would give it 5 stars. ... However, there is a deal breaker for me, and that's the binding. The cloth binding seems durable enough. But the book will not lay flat for writing. In fact, I feel like I'm wresting with the book to write, as it seems to want to close, or at least flip pages. ... If you can live with the tendency to close, the notebook is very nice based on the paper quality.

Great Bullet Journal

This journal is great for just keeping on hand for catching anything I need. The line spacing is tall for medium nibs, can be a bit too much space for a japanese fine.

I start my journal from this notebook

I am not the person who would spend time to write journal, I was once think it's a boring thing to do. Not sure why, I started to put date on the page, and started to write what I feel about the day. I skipped couple days and write again, then I realized I do it more often, now almost daily. I like this notebook.Reason for 1 point deduction.Overall good, sometimes feathering and bleedthough, not as good as Rhodia. The strap clip is way to thick and make the notebook uneven...

New favorite

I used to use Moleskinne. Now I'm a Calirefontaine fan. The paper works well with just about any pen. Thanks to Goulet for their awesome shop!
