The reason that I purchased this item is because it was the right size to fit in a cover that holds both the note paper and a pen. The paper itself is great for fountain pens in that the ink does not bleed through the paper; the paper is smooth as one writes on it, and the paper doesn't leave fuzz on the nib of a fountain pen. It's the right size, the right smoothness, and the right paper for fountain pens.
Wonderful purchase experience and amazing paper. I bought this on a whim and so happy I did. I normally use cheap notebooks supplied by the company I work for, but I may have to permanently switch to this. Thank you Goulet, my husband and I love everything we've purchased from you!
Overall, I really like this notepad. For normal writing with a fountain pen (w/ private reserve chocolat fast dry), it doesn't bleed or feather at all, and is lovely and smooth to write on. I've also used it to do some ink wash drawings, and it doesn't hold up perfectly for those, but also doesn't entirely fall apart either; I'm fine with that since I know that I'm using it outside its intended purpose.
If you've slipped into the fountain pen rabbit hole, this is a perfect Notepad for work. Really smooth and fountain pen friendly.
Tried this one after Drew mentioned the model on a recent Pencast. Already liked the Maruman Mnemosyne paper from another model and I think this one's perfect to tuck into a knitting bag for larger notes, sketches, diagrams, etc. Immediately ordered more for stash.
