Excellent colors

Sailor makes (in my opinion) some of the best inks with shading. Nekoyanagi is my new favorite, I plan on buying a full bottle once I run out of the sample size.

Nice Inks but would Like Larger Samples

The ink itself is fine. However, while I appreciate Goulet offering affordable samples, I would like to see them either increase the size, or if not possible, then offer a larger sample. A competitor offers either 2mL or 5mL samples which I appreciate and prefer. 2ml is pretty much impossible to use without a syringe or ink miser.

No. We are unable to make substitutions in any of our ink sample sets.

All of our ink samples are also available for purchase separately.

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial?

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml?

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
