Great fit and function

Well, I purchased eight of them I believe, but so far I've only needed to use one. I do have four more pens that reqire them, biut as yet their currant ones are fine. The one I used is functioning flawlessly so far and I have every confidence that will continue. deliverry was fairly quick considering the degree of red tape the government here puts around everything, and I was pleased to see the care with which they were packaged. I remain a Great fan of Goulet Pens and always look forward to your Video Moments of Fountain Pen Education............... Cheers!. everyone at goulet! take the day offwith pay!.OOOPPPs Sorry Brian

Only choice for replacement

This is the only cartridge converter that works 100% of the time. Do not accept the imposters.

Does not fit a Monteverde Imprezza

I bought a Monteverde Imprezza about a year ago, and tried it with the converter I had for an old Jinhao fountain pen I already had. It wrote well enough with the beautiful Caran D'Ache Brilliant Green, but always leaked a tiny bit which meant my fingers were perpetually green from the ink. I finally caved and bought a new fine Monteverde nib/feed part, but it still leaked. I replaced the converter with this one, and it STILL leaked. Not only leaked, but this converter simply falls off the feed tube. There is nothing holding it to the tube. It turns out the Jinhao converter fits the Monteverde pen better than the Monteverde converter.

Type of Converter that all brands should have for their pens.

This threaded converter is a step up from the standard models and because it is threaded it will never allow the section to drop into the ink bottle when filling. All in all, it is a better way to use bottle ink and fill a pen with confidrnce.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter is a cartridge-shaped reservoir that allows you to use bottled fountain pen ink, when a cartridge would otherwise be your only option. Fountain pens that have this option are usually referred to as a cartridge/converter pen, or C/C for short.

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.

These fountain pens all take a converter. Please check the individual product descriptions for if the pen needs a proprietary or standard converter.
