Bought for Kaweco...

Bought these because the ones I picked up years ago fit my Kaweco Sports really well (and they're a bit cheaper than the fancy Kaweco ones).

The not sure what has changed, but the tip is a little too big for the ink feed to grab. I got crafty and used a lighter to melt them slightly and press them in firmly to make a more ink-tight fit, and that worked well. If you're here for the same reason, and you're not so inclined to do all that to save the $3, probably just stick to the Kaweco brand converter, cuz they're just the teensiest bit too loose to latch without alteration.

Perfection!

This converter works in nearly every pen I own currently. And pairing it with the 2,000 ink samples I like to buy (no joke... It's like a sickness. A rainbow colored sickness.) means I can change colors more often than I probably should. Thank you, Goulet!

This works as you'd expect.

I'm not sure what to say about the converter. I got the J. Herbin rollerball, and this thing does exactly as you'd expect.

Simple and it works

I bought some of these as universal converters. Most recent one I used it in is a Waterman Laureat and it works perfectly there so far.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter is a cartridge-shaped reservoir that allows you to use bottled fountain pen ink, when a cartridge would otherwise be your only option. Fountain pens that have this option are usually referred to as a cartridge/converter pen, or C/C for short.

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.
