I don't really need full bottles of these purple inks but they are so beautiful. Maybe if I had more pens? Goulet always puts together the best sample sets!

I got this one for my wife. The sample sets are not only helpful but great fun. It helps to get a dip pen so you can write a few lines without having to ink up and clean a fountain pen.

Included in this sample set is a diverse variety, which I really appreciate. There a few that I know I won't purchase, and others that I will definitely get bottles of -- but it's nice to see the different types of inks that are available.(I marked some of the criteria below as Medium because all of the different samples were so different)

Terrific ink samples, at least for me! Purple is always my go to color, partially because it is my school color and partially because it reminds me of our Mt. Fuji (in my language, Fuji means pale bright violet as well). I like De Atramentis document violet a lot and will probably buy a bottle of it. Each color has its own character and you may find your own favorite one!

I purchased the Bright & Light Purple Best Sellers - Ink Sample Set for my niece, who is new to fountain pens and a big fan of the color purple. I wanted to afford her the opportunity to pick exactly the right shade for her tastes. She has been using Diamine Imperial Purple, so this sample set provided a baseline with which she was familiar, plus seven additional shades of purple to try out. I hope amongst these purples (or maybe the other set of darker purples?) she will find her true color. As for me, I find the Diamine Imperial Purple an attractive dark/medium purple, while the Iroshizuku Murasaki-shikibu is pretty (and has outstanding Pilot flow properties) if your taste tends to something a bit lighter and brighter.As usual, my order arrived super quick (within a few days of ordering), and was packed with a slightly insane amount of care.
