Works well, but is a little light.

Tried one of these cartridges in my Perkeo but could hardly read the words and that was on Rhodia paper. Siphoned the ink out of that cartridge after I removed it and another one also and put it in a sample phial. Tried the ink in my Noodler's Ahab today and it was much more vivid. But on cheap paper! Tried it on Rhodia later and was much, much better. Perhaps I just had a problem with the first cartridge? Anyway it IS a nice color, ink. Just a little lighter than Diamine Havasu Turquoise.

What a lovely color

New pen requires new ink and I always start with a blue ink. I already had the darker blue cartridges so I thought I'd try the lighter blue. This is like ocean water in the Florida Keys blue. It's such a great blue. This will become my standard blue ink in cartridge for my Kaweco pens now. It's flowing great through an extra fine Kaweco Sport nib.

Didn't Expect Much

I honestly just got this pack of Kaweco cartridges because I purchased a Liliput and realized I couldn't use the Kaweco converter with it. So my original plan was to get these, empty them, and just refill them with bottled ink using an ink syringe, but when it came time to do just that, I had second thoughts about wasting the .9ml of ink in each one of these. So I'm using it now in the Liliput as intended and I must say I like the color and behavior of the ink much more than I thought I would. That being said, I'd still rather use about 30 other inks that I can think of so we'll see how long before I revert to the original plan.

Love the color!

Had a little difficulty starting the ink through the pen but think that was because the pen was allowed to run dry of ink! I love the color and it flows smoothly!! Beautiful effect! Water resistance is always low because of the type pen and ink it is! Fountain pens always have a low tolerance but it is perfect ink!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install an ink cartridge? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

It's pretty easy, but it may be best to explain in video format. You can learn more about how to actually install an ink cartridge on our blog, or in this video tutorial:

What fountain pens are compatible with these ink cartridges? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

There are two main groups of ink cartridges: standard international (available in short and long sizes), and proprietary (which only fit that particular brand).

You can read which cartridges fit a given fountain pen in that pen's product description or Tech Specs. You can also check out our Cartridge/Converter guide for general brand guidance if you’re unsure.

Can I refill an ink cartridge? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Yes! You'll need an ink syringe, but in general it's pretty easy to do.
