A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

There are two main groups of ink cartridges: standard international (available in short and long sizes), and proprietary (which only fit that particular brand).

Yes! You'll need an ink syringe, but in general it's pretty easy to do.
