This sampler set is the perfect way to choose not only which black ink you like to use, but one that is washable. My spouse has an issue with getting ink splotches on his clothing. Through trial and error in using this set - he discovered the Diamine Onyx Black was not only his preferred color to use in his Lamy CP1, but that the ink will wash out of fabric.
I own a TWSBI Eco. I had Jaques Herbin Blue d'Minuet in it, and wen ton vacation while the pen was low on ink. One day the ink started splotching, and some got on my shirt. I was excited whe I soaked the shirt in cold water overnight, and it came out GONE! Very happy. So I was looking for a black that was clothing friendly (I'll be looking for other colors later). My wife bought this sample set, and I tested them all by writing on a clean white rag with all of them using a glass pen. I then soaked the rag in cold water overnight. ONLY Diamine Onyx Black.came out completely! I included a picture... It is number FOUR in the picture. I'll be buying a bottle soon, as the sample will hardly make a dent in the HUGE piston-filler inkwell in the Eco pen!
