I really like these notebooks. The A5 is my standard for everything: journals, notepads, sketchbooks, and idea pads. These are used for the latter because I can write, sketch, scribble, paint, and they handle it all with aplomb. They're sturdy enough to handle whatever I throw at them. One lives at all times in my "book," a Chic Sparrow A5 TN-style notebook. They get treated fairly roughly. And they always look and perform admirably. The paper is lovely and smooth and works fine with all media.

Planning on getting another in anticipation of them running out. This notebook is up on my list of all-time favorites to write on. Prefer this ivory version, but may try the other one simply because I love this paper so much. The smoothness, it is not too thin and my fountain pens adore it. Just enough paper to not become bored. Worth more than five stars.
