I'm not one for liking inks that are not well saturated, but Diamine's Golden Brown is an exception. It is dark enough to show up well, and just has a nice Fall look to it, earth tony and all. This is going on my list for Must Keep In Stock.

Diamine Golden Brown has changed my ink-life

I have to admit that I first bought a small bottle of this ink by mistake. I had seen a beautifully written text and Golden Brown was mentioned. In fact,it was another brand's (great ink also, by the way). I had always used blue and red ink, but this rich brown hue has made me discover new undertones and has become one of my very favourites inks.Very beautiful shading also.

Excellent ink - love it!

I have to agree with the previous reviewers - I find this to be a great ink. The name is definitely appropriate as the 'golden' aspect of its hue is definitely there - it is not a dark brown, but the saturation is plenty strong for my tastes. It is currently inked in a Pelikan M400 Fine nib, writes smoothly with nice flow, and dries pretty quickly as well. The shading is really wonderful, even with the fine nib. The color may not be for everyone, but I find it very pleasing - has a bit of 'vintage' look to it. I'm a definite fan of Diamine inks.

Can't get enough...

After hearing so many great things about Diamine I decided to try them for myself. First it was Prussian Blue. Then Monaco Red. Now it is Golden Brown. The first two are universally popular and Prussian Blue has become one of my favorites but the Golden Brown is one of those love it or hate it. Personally I love it. Great flow, smooth and TONS of shading. I like it because it is more golden than brown. No doubt I am buying more. Plus, Brian was great to work with.

My first sepia

This was my first sepia ink, and my all-time favorite ink for a long time. Has a deep rich tone and gives you that ancient manuscript look. Also a fast drying ink, at least for me. Diamine satisfies again!

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
