Could’ve called this neon blue.

This blue reminds me of the dark blue I’ve seen in the ocean from high above in an airplane. This blue looks like it will swallow you whole but in the best way possible.

Gorgeous color, feathers like crazy.

Put this in a Jinhao fine nib, flows very wet. Color is wonderful, but it feathers on my Kokuyo paper, which is supposed to be at least ok for fountain pens. Also super showthrough-y, even compared to inks with similar saturation levels. Would bleed through for nothing if I wrote slower or used a wider nib.

Love this ink

This is a vibrant blue that really stands out. It flows well and drys quickly. The one draw back is that it does stain and should have a dedicated pen. However if you are willing to do that it is well worth it!. After all ink stained fingers are a proud mark for a fountain pen enthusiast!

Vivid Rich Blue

This is a very lovely, rich blue shade. Almost leans a little teensy bit to the purple side in bright lighting. I'm using it in a .3 Platinum Preppy with a piston converter, and didn't notice the staining issues that I'm reading about in the other reviews. Not yet, anyway! With a fine point, I don't notice it being too wet as I'm writing; and, there's no smudging in my daily journal. While I have a massive collection of blue inks, I'd say this probably makes my Top 10 Blues. This is actually the color I was looking for to put in my Metropolitan Violet Leopard medium point... (attached photo shows M05 on the pen barrel, but it has a .3 nib in it)

Very bright :)

This ink is very bright and I really enjoy writing with it. It makes me happy to see the bright blue colour on paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
