Surprising perfromance from a thin paper

I got this to see if I could make a thinner paper work for journals and notebooks, and it mostly does. It feels a little heavier than bible paper, but none of the fine nibs and inks I've tried bleed through. It's thin enough that dark inks do show through from the reverse side of the page, but with lighter color inks this doesn't happen. I've settled in to using Manyo Akebi, and I'm happy with the way this works using both sides of the pages. It also goes with the grey cover pretty well.

Elegant thin paper

This is my first experience with Tomoe River paper. It’s smooth without feathering or bleed through. I would definitely buy it again.

Great notebooks.

The notebooks from Goulet are great for journaling, taking notes, and probably sketching/doodling/drawing. Sadly, I lack any of those skills so I can’t attest to that use.

A great tuck-in notebook for reading on travel.

When I travel, I like to catch up on some technical reading and take notes along the way. These notebooks are nice and thin enough to tuck into almost any book without breaking the bind. The paper is high quality with no bleed through from a cartridge-driven Pilot vanishing point (EF) with Namiki ink. Since Namiki isn't the higest saturation ink, I don't even notice ghosting unless I deliberately hold the paper up to bright sunlight. As counterintuitive as it might seem, the matchup between this notebook and pen make note taking on long layovers a pleasurable experience... even in busy airports.
